me and my buddy are digging a hole that is 8 inches deep, we need to do a 6′X10′ area, and a 2.5′X50′ area (future walkway and patio). unfortunately we cant get a backhoe up his steep backyard. so we have been doing it by hand and it is taking for ever bc his soil is very rocky and clay. we used a ditch digger for the ditch, and was hopping there was a machine like that for bigger holes, not just trenches. does one exist?
